Thames Gymnastics Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“Parent/Guardian”) and Thames Gymnastics (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or attending any Thames Gymnastics class, programme, event, or activity, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to all future bookings without the need to re-sign.

1. Eligibility & Registration

1.1 Only children within the published age range for each class may participate.
1.2 A parent/guardian must complete all required registration information before attending.
1.3 You confirm that all information provided, including medical, behavioural, and emergency-contact details, is accurate and kept up to date.

2. Health, Medical & Safety Requirements

2.1 You must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, disabilities, or additional needs that may affect your child’s participation.
2.2 You agree to update us immediately if your child’s health or ability to participate changes.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse participation if we believe a child may be at risk of injury or if adequate information has not been provided.
2.4 Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children arrive wearing appropriate clothing and have safely removed jewellery.
2.5 No food, drink, chewing gum, or outdoor shoes are permitted on the training area.

3. Supervision & Conduct

3.1 We provide appropriate supervision during classes; however, parents are responsible for their child before and after the scheduled session time.
3.2 Children must follow instructions from coaches at all times.
3.3 We may remove any child whose behaviour compromises safety or disrupts the session, without refund.
3.4 Parents must collect children promptly at the end of the class.

 

4. Parental Attendance (Where Required)

4.1 For certain age groups, adult participation or presence may be required.
4.2 When required, parents must actively supervise their child and follow all safety instructions.

5. Photography, Video & Marketing

5.1 We never take or use photographs or video of your child without your explicit opt-in consent.
5.2 You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing thamesgymnastics@gmail.com.
5.3 Parents are not permitted to take photos or video during classes unless explicitly authorised to protect the privacy of other children.

6. Payment & Pricing

6.1 All classes must be paid for at the time of booking.
6.2 Prices are clearly displayed on the website and may be updated periodically.
6.3 Bookings are not confirmed until payment is completed.

7. Cancellations, Refunds & Make-Ups

7.1 Parent-Initiated Cancellations

• Drop-in classes: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before class for a credit or refund.

• Missed classes are non-refundable. If possible, we may offer a makeup class at our discretion.

7.2 Thames Gymnastics Cancellations

If we cancel a class due to illness, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive either:

• a rescheduled class, or

• a credit or refund for the cancelled class.

We are not liable for lost income, travel costs, or other indirect expenses.

8. Drop-In Classes

8.1 Drop-in bookings are subject to availability and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
8.2 Your agreement to these Terms applies to all future drop-in bookings.

9. Personal Belongings

9.1 We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
9.2 Valuables should not be brought into class.

10. Liability
10.1 Gymnastics carries inherent risk. By enrolling your child, you acknowledge these risks.
10.2 We are not liable for injuries resulting from:

• failure to follow instructions

• improper clothing or equipment brought from home

• undisclosed medical conditions

• behaviour by another participant

10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability where legally prohibited, including injury caused by our negligence.
10.4 Attendance at classes requires submission of a signed liability waiver, which provides detailed acknowledgement of risks.

11. Data Protection

11.1 We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy & Cookie Policy (available on our website).
11.2 Registration data, attendance information, and safety-related notes may be retained for legal purposes.

12. Conduct & Removal

12.1 We may remove a child or parent from the programme if behaviour endangers safety or violates these Terms.
12.2 No refund will be provided unless the removal was in error.

13. Changes to Terms

13.1 We may update these Terms at any time.
13.2 Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
